2023 Cloud Native Observability Benchmark
As we enter 2023, the cloud native revolution is taking hold: leading organizations are adopting Kubernetes and microservices in droves to increase efficiency and accelerate revenue. While that shift has brought many positive benefits, it’s also introduced exponentially greater complexity, higher volumes of data, and more pressure on engineering teams. 87% of engineers agree: using cloud native architectures has increased the complexity of discovering and troubleshooting incidents.
To understand the implications that cloud native complexity puts on technical teams, Chronosphere surveyed over 500 U.S. workers in engineering and software development. The survey looks at the challenges they face, the time they waste, and how they wished things were different. In this webinar, we will cover:
- The human impact of cloud native on engineers and teams
- The challenges companies are facing with their observability tools as they adopt cloud native
- The benefits of a best-in-class approach to observability
- Benchmarks to compare yourself to your peers

Previously, Rachel wore lots of marketing hats at CloudHealth (acquired by VMware), and before that, she led product marketing for cloud-integrated storage at NetApp. She also spent many years as an analyst at Forrester Research. Outside of work, Rachel tries to keep up with her young son and hyper-active dog, and when she has time, enjoys crafting and eating out at local restaurants in Boston where she’s based.
Karan Malhi is a Product Manager at Chronosphere. Previously, Karan worked as the Infrastructure PM at AppDynamics, building infrastructure as a service for internal developers. He has also built products around managed data pipelines and continuous delivery analytics. As a product manager at Mulesoft, Karan built an Apache Tomcat monitoring product and extended his portfolio to modernizing existing B2B and healthcare protocols using API’s.
