Chronosphere works differently. We charge a small fee for data ingested, but your bill is primarily driven by what you choose to retain. So while everything flows through the platform, you're not paying full price to store data nobody looks at.

This is possible because of our Control Plane — a built-in layer that lets you analyze, optimize, and reduce your metrics, logs, and traces before they're stored. You keep the telemetry that powers your dashboards, alerts, and troubleshooting workflows; everything else is summarized or dropped, so you're not paying to store noise.
