Event Overview

SCaLE is the largest community-run open-source and free software conference in North America. It is held annually in the greater Los Angeles area.

Session: Profiling and beyond: scaling observability with Fluent Bit and eBPF

As observability advances to deliver deeper insights into system performance, traditional telemetry signals like logs, metrics, and traces are now complemented by advanced profiling capabilities, specifically with OpenTelemetry. Fluent Bit is leading this shift by unifying these diverse signals into a high-performance observability pipeline. This session will showcase how Fluent Bit optimizes log, metric, and trace handling at scale and supports OpenTelemetry schemas, creating a standardized approach to telemetry that integrates seamlessly with other observability tools.

We’ll also introduce Fluent Bit’s new eBPF-based profiling, which provides powerful, low-overhead insights into performance and resource usage. Attendees will learn how Fluent Bit’s expanded capabilities make it possible to capture and act on detailed performance data with minimal resource impact. We’ll discuss practical use cases, best practices and a hands-on demo.

Room: Room 107

Time: Saturday, March 8, 2025 – 12:30 to 13:30
